Fourth Annual Festival Celebrates NYC’s Leadership in Digital Culture and Commerce


New York, NY (November 8, 2010) - Gearing up for its fourth year, organizers announced today that Internet Week New York will take place from June 6 to 13, 2011. Recognized as a leading global gathering for Internet innovators and influencers, Internet Week New York is expected to draw more than 20,000 people to over 200 events at both its headquarters located at Chelsea’s Metropolitan Pavilion and at dozens of locations throughout Gotham.

Internet Week New York 2010, which took place from June 7-14, 2010, featured 200-plus events, including highlights such as the Yahoo! Provoke Summit, the Mashable Media Summit, a NY Tech Meetup featuring demos from New York’s top start-ups, The Webutante Ball (NYC’s “Internet Prom”), as well as wide variety of conferences, panels, education events, parties, and meet-ups. Reflecting the Internet’s open structure, any organization – from artists and investment banks to startups and meet-ups – can host an event during Internet Week New York 2011. The festival is organized by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting.
